SPC Summer Guest Musicians

July 8 – Robyn Perry & Christine Gollan

Twenty-one-year-old soprano Robyn Perry from Tignish recently completed her fourth year of a Bachelors Degree in Music at Université de Moncton. Currently a voice student of Dr. Lisa Roy (having also studied with Monette Gould, Debi Voye and Christine Gallant), the coming year will be the last of her degree. Following the completion of her undergraduate degree, Robyn plans to pursue a Masters in Vocal Performance or Opera. This past spring Robyn competed at the PEI Provincial Music Festival and in 2017 she was the PEI Vocal Representative at the National Music Festival in Ottawa. As well, Robyn has completed her RCM Grade 10 piano exam with distinction and she now enjoys arranging music and accompanying singers at her university.”

Born into a musical family, Christine Gollan began piano lessons at age eight. With the piano as her main instrument, she learned to play guitar, electric bass and percussion in her teenage years. Her passion for music led her to pursue a Bachelors degree in Classical Piano at the Université de Moncton where she took many music-related courses with excellent professors. Since 2012, Christine has taught piano to people of all ages in the greater Moncton area. She has played electric bass in the progressive rock band “Space rocks and peanut butter sandwiches” and now plays keyboards in the band “Amy Stone and the Veneers”. A very passionate and curious person, Christine loves exploring different styles of music and collaborating with other artists.”

Thank you to both Robyn Perry and Christine Gollan for sharing their gifts of music with us.
